Want to talk about vidya, or stuff loosely related to vidya? This is your place. Global rules are still in full effect, and shitposting/nsfw content is allowed, just make sure it's related to video games in some way.

AI dungeon is fuckin wacky, I love it.
My first game was custom with its own little setting. I had presumed it would know that I was going for a fantasy setting, but it didn't. I ended up shooting both of my parents right away then escaping the city and finding a burned out village, where a giant spider consumed me.

charlie crooker is what I aspire to be one day, what an alpha

What it says on the tin. Getting to know people here. Best games are dwarf fortress, cataclysm: dark days ahead, and stardew valley
Been playing a ton of space station 13 though.
What are you guys into?

Honestly space ganes are super comfy. I'm not sure what it is. But they're great.
As far as grinds go, the only one I keep returning to is runescape.

Syphon Filter and it's sequel. Been on a big ps1 kick lately. Gonna revisit Symphony of the Night and maybe Clock Tower for Halloween.

>runescape

Oh man, I miss those nights playing old school runescape in high school a lot. Fuck man I sucked at it so bad.

Kingdom Hearts II, yeah the story is off the walls crazy, but the gameplay is peak action RPG. Always been a major inspiration for my gay gamedev brain.

Discuss the Pokémon franchise. Whether it be the games, anime, TCG, Go, competitive, etc.
Also, post your favorite Pokémon.

Pokemon Go is still very much a thing, but people don't play it as much as they used to after some bad updates from what I hear.
I was never too big on Go anyways, but I knew a couple guys who were up until a year ago.

Also, Darkrai is my favorite pokemon by far. I remember opening a booster card pack back when I was in elementary school and getting a Darkrai card, it was awesome. I later managed to get a Shaymin card from one of those huge tins as well.
The interesting thing is, I never really played TCG, I just liked to open the card packs and see what was inside. It wasn't until late middle school - early high school that I actually tried playing it and found that it wasn't as fun as Yugioh, which is what I had moved onto at the time.

I remember cheating to get a Darkrai In gen 4. I lived in the middle of nowhere so I couldn't attend an event to get him.

Yeah, I get that. I remember trying to go to the bookstore downtown and there was a pokemon go event going on. The entire place was packed, way more than usual. I gotta wonder what caused that game to die off so quickly, there's really no way it can be attributed to bad updates alone

Is there any racing game from the 16 bit era with a better soundtrack than Top Gear?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKMMMfgyNmk&list=PLkog_NvP2P1IMT2h6i_pTZFv-JW1dkqwd&index=1
I played the fuck out of this game as a kid, I even have some the passwords like Moonbath committed to memory. To this day, I cannot find a better racing game from the 16 bit era with a better soundtrack. Even the F-Zero soundtrack isn't as good as this one

I'm quite distraught that you fail to comprehend the tremendous impact and cultural merits of this post.
The user in question is expressing their discontent with modern society by mimicing primal grunts on this obscure internet imageboard. The image they choose to associate with their message serves to showcase their view that the shallow world around them has lost any sense of purpose it might've had which drove them to seek escapism through voluptuous Touhou characters.

Alright smart guy, what about this one?

 No.60

>>59
One can surmise this user's nihilistic outlook and view this as a profound declaration of how they've abandoned any value they once associated with the world at large and its ephemeral material temptations. They have instead chosen to pursue happiness where they’re able to find it in its purest form, to partake in the simplest pleasures, to DANCE. The image itself serves to further cement this, it highlights the dissonance between the innocence and sincerity of their desires compared to the brutal and cruel reality they live in.

Come on mate, this is elementary stuff. I shouldn't have to spell this out for you.
